Who is The PMS Girl, you may ask? Well I must admit I am no longer a little girl. My name is Soijett Brooks. I am a 38 year old wife, mother of three and when needed a substitute teacher.
I grew up in Flagstaff, Arizona. I have two brothers and three sisters. That has a lot to do with my passion for parties. Growing up in a big family and being around my sisters as an adult has always had a party feel. They are very hospitable and warm and when together who needs television? Most of us women who have sister’s know that there is a special bond that you cannot explain. Especially to your husband, who can’t understand how you can see some one on Saturday, and still talk to them on the phone on Sunday for two hours. One of the mysteries of the universe.
I was raised by one of the strongest women I have ever known. She was about 5’ tall and maybe 105 lbs with red hair for as long as I can remember. The red hair was indicative her personality. This beautiful petite 28 year old women had six kids age’s infant to nine, and would soon be divorced and raising them alone 2000 miles away form her home town in Virginia. Please don’t even attempt to feel sorry for her. She had no time for pity or wondering what to do. With the help of our wonderful Heavenly Father and so many friends and strangers along the way, Mother handled her lot in life like a champ. I won’t say that she was not bruised, and scarred along the way, but overall, she did just fine.
I am sure that my creative side is due to my mother. That brings me to The PMS Girl. I am enjoying so much seeing the parties take shape. I love the fact that they have a personal touch. I like to know a little about the girls before each party. This helps me to know exactly how to present the information. I am a bit goofy by nature, but depending on the girls, I may have to be a little less Soijett and more business woman. I love it. Every party is different, because every girl is different.
Well enough about me. I hope this is enough to make you more comfortable about entrusting me with one of your most prized possessions, your daughter.
